Cottage Dresser with Birds

Cottage furniture is old...'lived-in'...handed down. Its furniture that's stood the test of time, has been moved from home to home, painted and repainted. Why? Because its simple lines make it timeless and it can go anywhere.

Cottage furniture is imperfect and those imperfections are what make it absolutely lovely.

Paul painted this vintage cottage chest using a mix of Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan colors (Provence + Old White) to create what can best be described as Tiffany Blue. The detail was created using Annie Sloan's Pure White and her Countryside Birds stencil. Finally, the entire piece was aged and sealed with Clear Chalk Paint® Wax.
